Print industry magazine 'Print Week' recently singled out the Print-Leeds website by Seamless for praise, highlighting in particular its strong use of imagery and the ease of navigation. Read on...
"With the tagline 'Excellence through innovation' you'd hope for a website that comes up to scratch from Print-Leeds. And fortunately for the company it does with a visually eye-catching offer.
Fortunate is probably the wrong word as it looks like Print-Leeds has thought long and hard about the presentation. What immediately strikes you are the main graphics of the site. It starts with a shot of one of its Heidelberg presses, which on its own would not be that interesting. But from there, the picture fades to provide more shots of the equipment in action plus images of staff at work in its pre-press division at its "brand new air conditioned, purpose-built factory".
This works well, gives the site some colour and makes a change from static pictures or even worse - no images at all. Also the machine itself is significant - Print-Leeds says it's the UK's first Heidelberg CD74-6-LX-UV and was installed in 2002.
But getting away from the fancy graphics, it's easy to navigate your way around the site. It's uncluttered and there were no problems clicking onto the various links. The content is succinct and doesn't give you text heavy, information overload. There is also a handy map of exactly where Print-Leeds is based."
"Overall this is a neat and tidy site with the added bonus of some innovative use of images. It's uncomplicated - a pretty good thing for anyone new to the company."
