Is your web site friendly to search engines? Good news if it is - because recent statistics released by Ocean Consulting in Media Week 23rd - 30th March 2004, have revealed the impact of the search engines are having on internet consumers.

Google - 41 percent share, others - 14.7 per cent share, Yahoo - 20.6 percent share, AOL 8.8 - percent share, Amazon - 8.8 percent share, BBC - 5.9 percent share,

According to the source, the best consuming brand so far in 2004 is Google with 41.2%, over taking rivals Yahoo! who with 20.6% of the vote are still a dominant consumer brand on the internet. These sites over shadow the likes of Amazon.com who - representing 8.8% of the vote are the only retail site to have any real impact in the survey.
